We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Analyst to join our team as we expand and evolve our in-house QA capability.
You will have an established background in software testing in agile, waterfall and hybrid methodologies, and will be able to design, build, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing scenarios.
As a QA Analyst, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our financial software applications working closely with stakeholders across the Consumer Franchise and collaborating within cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to test planning activities.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with Product Managers and Software Engineers, design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to validate software functionality and performance.
- Identify and document and communicate details of defects, and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies, advocating for best practices and continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in agile delivery activities, providing input from user story creation and backlog refinement through to sprint planning, review, and retrospectives.
- Demonstrable experience in software testing within cross-functional, agile delivery teams.
- Proven experience in test automation using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and related frameworks to cover all aspects of software systems (UI, APIs, integration etc.)
- Strong proficiency in manual testing techniques and approaches.
- Familiarity with banking concepts and regulations and experience working in financial services is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Xray, HP ALM).
- ISTQB Foundation certification would be beneficial.
