We’re hiring an experienced DX Engineer with a strong technical writing background to join our Docs team.
You will work with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, DevOps, and product managers, to ensure that our development tools, workflows, and documentation are of the highest quality.

- Develop and update technical documentation, focusing on Vercel’s tools, libraries, and APIs
- Act as customer zero, ensuring our documentation meets the reader's needs and enhances their experience using our products
- Review and refine documentation and code examples for clarity and adherence to our style guide
- Proactively maintain and improve the documentation sites
- Manage your projects in coordination with the team, adhering to deadlines and contributing to our documentation strategy
- Embrace new products and processes, sharing knowledge and driving documentation quality and innovation
- Report to our Director of Docs
- You bring at least five years of experience as a Technical Writer, Developer Experience Engineer, or related role, with a proven track record of creating impactful documentation
- You know frontend tools such as TypeScript, Next.js, and Vercel
- You are proficient in MDX, Markdown, and Git workflows, enabling you to create efficient and interactive documentation
- You excel in communication and collaboration, thriving in a team environment and contributing to a positive workplace
- You quickly adapt to new domains, learning and articulating complex concepts into clear, comprehensive content
- You focus on putting the reader first, ensuring documentation is accessible and engaging
- You understand and apply various content types effectively in your technical writing

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $135,000 -$170,000. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience, and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your location during the hiring process.
