Position Overview:
Verra Mobility is seeking a Cloud Architect candidate to manage our company's cloud architecture and position in cloud environments. You will play a strategic role in maintaining all cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage, SAAS, PAAS, IAAS and management networks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud. You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process.
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Develop and organize cloud systems.
- Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
- Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
- Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions; train end users and technical support staff as required.
- Convert user stories into application logic, reports, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
- Develop detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements.
- Collaborate with multiple development, design, and analyst teams to solve problems.
- Contribute in the implementation of improvements across organization product base.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent work experience in the field.
- Professional experience as a Solution Architect while working in an enterprise environment.
- 3+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends including knowledge of AWS and Azure deployment methods and their best practices.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
- Experience with coding and CI/CD best practices, legacy software migration, and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Utilized enterprise level software development tools.
- Understanding of software development processes and methodologies including, Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development, and Continuous Integration.
- Ability to lead overall product vision and lead feature definitions.
- Solid work ethic, self-driven with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Big picture problem-solving skills.
- Outside the box thinker.
