We are looking for a VP, Business Services to join and lead our Business Services practice reporting directly to the SVP, Professional Services. This position will lead the Global Business Services organization including overseeing all lines of in Business Services including Medicaid, Rebates and Fees, Chargebacks, State and Pricing Transparency. This person will be a member of the company’s Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the Business Services strategy and driving strong execution.
Responsibilities:
- Directs and leads managers responsible for ongoing client relationships and service delivery.
- Proven track record of handling complex client situations and managing client relationships while also managing margins and utilization.
- Develop and lead a team of Business Services professionals and leaders; partner closely with Human Resources to source, attract, hire, train, manage and develop talent and strong leadership that can support the company’s short and long-term objectives
- Stay current and provide business guidance internally and to customers related to the life science’s Commercial and/or regulatory landscape.
- Expected to continually build detailed subject matter expertise and thought leadership in area of government program regulations and share this knowledge with direct reports and peer groups.
- Support of pre-sales and sales activities, authors statements of work and preliminary staffing for engagements.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience and proven track record working in the pharmaceutical industry working with state and federal pricing, reporting, and rebate programs
- Bachelor’s Degree required in finance, accounting, or other applicable business experience
- Leadership experience including the ability to build and grow a team, to collaborate and influence, and to managing people in mandated deadline environment
- Solid collaboration skills with proven track record of driving collaboration across teams, functions and regions
- Proven track record in building offshoring models and working with global regions including India
- Strong experience in services delivery and practice management
- Strong experience managing multiple client assignments effectively and the ability to prioritize
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High accuracy rate and strong attention to detail; ability to produce internal as well as client-ready deliverables to high-level executives
- Experience with Microsoft Office products required and knowledge of advance Excel techniques such as pivot tables and data importing are desired
- Experience in and ability to learn standard industry systems environment
- Able to manage multiple and competing tasks across functional areas is essential
- Experience achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures by ensuring that all plans and activities are met with “best” industry practices
- Ability to travel to prospective clients, company events and meetings including some international travel

Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
