About this role

Deel is the fastest-growing startup in the world, on track to become the first global HR platform. In the last year, Deel has broadened its suite of products from remote contractor management to comprehensive global payroll and HRIS solutions. In this role you will turn data into insights to improve the employee experience for a 3,000-person organization, poised to expand by another 1,000 roles within the year. Additionally, you will contribute to the HRIS platform being developed internally at Deel, ensuring it meets the needs of our organization and all our clients. Our people analytics team is just getting started and will have stakeholders in both the Data and People Teams. 

Duties

  • Designing, developing, and validating statistical models in Snowflake using dbt, integrating legacy data with productionalized data from our HRIS to explain past behavior and to predict future behavior of our employees.

  • Providing comprehensive support to our entire people organization with metrics collection and a variety of analysis techniques (covering everything from pipeline reporting for Talent Acquisition to organizational health analysis for HRBP) to expand the range of questions we're able to explore.

  • Providing quantitative rationale to inform decision-making processes within the People Team.

  • Ensuring the highest levels of data security and privacy, guaranteeing data access is restricted to authorized users.

  • Working collaboratively with product stakeholders to shape the HRIS data models that support our HR platform. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or an equivalent field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics, preferably including extensive experience within analytics about people.

  • Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language like R or Python, and experience with SQL.

  • Experience with data visualization tools and a knack for data storytelling (we use Looker).

  • A curious and pragmatic problem solver who isn't afraid to dive into the details.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with individuals across various departments and cultures.

We especially would like to speak with you if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience in cleaning challenging data sets.

  • Experience with statistics and data modelling of human data in an applied context.

  • Knowledge of statistical techniques to build and tune predictive models.

  • Experience in a people analytics function for a fast-growing organization.
