Egypt Digital Nomad Visa Overview
Egypt is an amazing country that has received multiple digital nomads throughout the years. Unfortunately, there isn’t an Egypt digital nomad visa.
However, that doesn’t mean it is impossible for digital nomads to live in the country. As mentioned before, many have done it before. And now, more than ever, a new opportunity is approaching.
Egypt has expressed its desire to launch a new tourist visa that will last for 5 years, in the hopes to boost tourism and recuperate the losses after the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the very first time Egypt offers a visa for longer than one year. As long as you’re a citizen of one of the 180 approved countries, you’ll be able to apply.
The catch? It’s not out yet…and there isn’t any news on when exactly it’ll come out.

There are 180 approved countries for this 5-year visa to Egypt.

Types Of Egypt Digital Nomad Visas
Even though there isn’t a specific Digital Nomad Visa for Egypt, there’s still some options for any remote worker who wishes to visit the country. Here are the options available:
5-Year Multiple-entry Visa
According to the reports, the visa will be available to citizens of selected countries. It will cost $700 and will allow you to live in Egypt for five years. It will be a multiple-entry visa, which means you may come and go to Egypt as many times as you wish throughout those 5 years.
This visa is not available yet, and there’s very little information known at the moment.
Single-entry e-Visa
This is a 30-day visa that allows you to enter Egypt and stay there for a month. It is only available to certain countries.
The applicants obtain their visas electronically after entering the required information and making the payment of $25.
You can apply online, or upon entering the country.
Multiple-entry e-Visa
This is also a 30-day visa, but it allows you to come and go as many times as you wish during that period. This visa will also be obtained electronically, and it costs $60.

Requirements for Single-entry Visa and Multiple-Entry Visa

How to Apply for the Egypt Digital Nomad Visa – Step-By-Step Instructions
There’s no information yet regarding the application process for the 5-year Egyptian visa.
Here are the instructions to apply for either of the 30-day visas.
Step 1 – Create An Account
You must create an account on the Egypt e-Visa Portal via the registration page.
Once you’ve registered, you’ll get a confirmation email. You must confirm your account before continuing with the process.
Step 2 – Select the Type of Visa
Once you have an account, you can log in at the Egypt e-Visa portal. Once there, you can start your application process.
Select the type of visa you wish to apply for:
Single entry
Multiple entry
Read the instructions carefully before continuing to the next step.
Step 3 – Gather Your Documents
The portal will let you know all the documents you need in order to apply. You’ll need:
Valid passport
Travel itinerary
Accommodation details
Supporting letter
The portal might give you special requests for additional documents, so always double-check the website.
Step 4 – Fill in the Application Form
Once you have all your documents, you can start filling in the application form.
You’ll do it all online. Make sure to read carefully and submit valid and true information.
Step 5 – Make the Payment
You can pay the visa fee using a Visa card, MasterCard or other debit cards.

Step 6 – Wait for Approval
You will receive the visa approval through your email. Make sure to download and print the e-Visa from your account.
Step 7 – Present Approval At the Immigration Office
Once you have your approval printed, you must present it at the immigration office upon arrival in Egypt.
How Much Does It Cost to Apply for a Digital Nomad Visa In Egypt?
The single-entry visa costs $25.
The multiple-entry visa costs $60.
The 5-year tourist visa will cost $700.
Egypt Digital Nomad Visa Denial
There’s still no information regarding the possible denial for the 5-year tourist visa.
However, the 30-day visas are rarely denied. Unless the application form is incomplete, you shouldn’t get rejected.
However, it is important to keep in mind that the visa fees are non-refundable and that the possession of an e-Visa is not the final authority to enter The Arab Republic of Egypt.
